Coach Risley here, how many times has someone told you they wanted better mobility only to find out that they wanted to get better at stretching? Mobility is not stretching, it’s an active range of motion.

Stretching in general does not do as much in terms of mobility and increasing your range for performance. What does help a lot more would be stretching yourself under load and making your body stronger and more tolerable in deeper positions.
Mobility is important because it quite literally allows you as a person to do more and expand your life. Strength training allows you to do just that. It allows you to walk up the stairs without feeling fatigued, it allows you to go skiing or on a jog without feeling as sore the next day.
If you don’t use it, you will quite literally lose it. So make sure you have the basic skills of human mechanics and hone them by becoming a stronger version of yourself today.
As always I’m here if you have questions!
